Its administrative responsibilities are to ensure that resources are available to offer special assistance to students and the community.The Testing Center administers national college; computer-based testing, proctored exams, College Level Exam Program (CLEP), and academic placement tests. The center ensures integrity and exam security in the proctoring and examination process. Oversee and negotiate contracts/partnerships with private businesses, community leaders, and testing companies to support the testing needs of NCCU and generate supplemental college revenue.Primary Purpose of PositionThis position will provide oversight and direction of the University Testing Center.Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExperience using testing-related technologies. Technology proficiency with web applications, MS Office Suite, Google suite, Student Management Systems (Banner, EAB), Learning management systems (Canva, Blackboard, etc). Experience collaborating with multiple external stakeholders to solve complex problems effectively. Demonstrated ability to use varying styles, approaches, skills and techniques to communicate with various constituents (e.g., faculty, staff, students, community partners) with diverse backgrounds and experiences. Knowledge of learning theory regarding college readiness, developmental education, testing taking anxietyKnowledge of university policies and procedures. Serve as subject matter expert in academic placement and college readiness on college, statewide and other related committees.Minimum Education/ExperienceMaster’s degree and a minimum of five years experience of supervisory experience and experience in measurement and assessment required. Three years administration/finance or budgeting experience required. Two years of learning management systems implementation, project/program management, vendor/contract management or data analytics required. Working knowledge of ADA compliance, FERPA, NCTA, UNC Policy and database management.Two years of experience with conducting testing services in an educational or professional setting. Effective verbal/written communication, presentation, customer support and organizational skills.Licenses or Certification required by Statute or RegulationIn-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Banner, and various testing software applications such as College Board- CLEP/SAT, ETS-Prometric, PearsonVue, Meazure Learning, ProV, etc. Knowledge of the role of college academic placement and assessment in evaluating learning. Computer-based and written exam administrations for institutional faculty and contracted vendors: ATI-TEAS (nursing certification), CPCE, College Board (CLEP and SAT), Education Testing Services (GRE, Praxis and TOEFL), PearsonVue, ProV, Meazure Learning; oversees process for external client distance education proctoring request.Function SupervisionDescribe the specific tasks and responsibilities related to the function.Generate various statistical reportsDevelop and implement marketing strategiesMaintain regular audits of financial transactionsSupervise and provide leadership for a staff of 3 proctorsSupervise and provide mentorship for up to 3 federal work study students per semesterFunction AdministrativeDescribe the specific tasks and responsibilities related to the function.Interact with various campus partnersEnsure staff certifications are met annuallyMaintain security and confidentiality protocols for test materials and test resultsFunction AdministrativeDescribe the specific tasks and responsibilities related to the function.Develop customized programs for statistical analysis of data surveys, and other projects. Manage the collection, security, and accounting of fees and contract revenue collected by the Testing Center.
