Job Title: Certification EngineerMinimum Qualifications and Technical Expertise:
Bachelor's degree in an information technology discipline
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with information security certifications (ISO 27001, SOC 2)
Understand the current requirements of the certifications (have actually read the standards and understand them)
Has managed the end to end process for getting certifications from planning, internal audits, getting our teams ready for third party external audit, driving the third party audit, and working with teams to handle any remediation activities
Is able to take any new security certifications requirements and build out controls and test of controls for our organization
Is able to conduct risk assessments to identify risk, determine risk mitigation controls
Is able to build out an internal audit plan with test of controls and conduct an internal audit
Prior experience managing and executing security certifications and is a must
Keeping up to date on the certification standards - ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.
Exposure to security requirements in cloud business models like Software-as-a Service
Overall understanding of security with application and infrastructure areas – web applications, containers, virtual machines, network devices, etc.
Good working knowledge of current IT risks
Understanding of a wide range of security technologies, such as network security appliances, identity and access management systems, anti-malware solutions, file integrity monitoring system, security scanning tools, etc.
Strong knowledge and hands on experience with implementing of industry processes and regulations (ISO, NIST, CSA, etc.)
