The Division of Student Affairs aids, directs, and informs students about services and programs that will expand students’ educational experiences and prepare them for diverse lives in local and global communities. The Division of Student Affairs is responsible for many of the outside-the-classroom/off-campus aspects of student life at NCCU, including Campus Recreation and Wellness, Career and Professional Development Center, Dean of Students, Diversity and Inclusion, Marketing and Communications, McNair Scholars, Men’s Achievement Center, New Student and Family Programs, Residential Life, Student Advocacy, Student Accessibility Services, Student Conduct and Community Standards, Student Counseling, Student Engagement and Leadership, Student Health Services, Transportation and Parking Services, TRIO Student Accessibility, TRIO Upper Bound and the Women’s Center.Primary Purpose of PositionThe primary purpose of this position is to provide high-level administrative support to the Student Accessibility Services.Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesThe successful candidate must possess a working knowledge of front desk operation, office management, record management, greeting students, parents, faculty, staff and visitors, receiving phone calls from internal and external clients; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word and Excel) Applications; ability to work independently with little or no supervision; to take initiative to see projects and assignments through to completion; to learn, interpret and analyze information to make necessary decisions; to exercise judgment and discretion in problem solving; to plan, prioritize and organize workflow and the ability to work flexible schedules.
