As we build out the team, we are looking for innovative, entrepreneurial team members to help drive value through data across MSC. The Technical Product Manager – Data role is responsible for driving value in data platform and data products that will focus on building data services that streamline data processes and deliver trusted data to our data user community. The technical product manager collaborates with stakeholders and our engineering partners to build out product requirements and deliver on our vision and roadmap. In addition, as technical product manager this role requires direct knowledge of the technical solutions being implemented and requires experience on Google Cloud Data services. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Builds an understanding of stakeholder needs and uses this knowledge to build product requirements to build data platform solutions.
Develop data frameworks and processes that are repeatable and benefit the larger organization to reduce manual efforts
Define product goals and translate them into technical specifications
Responsible for seeing solutions through to deployment and makes decisions daily to ensure we are delivering the most valuable services to our stakeholders
Conduct end user research to build user stories and help critical path and potential MVPs to satisfy requirements
Monitors industry direction and landscape to ensure MSC’s data platform decisions are inline with data industry direction
Communicate technical direction into business sense for stakeholders
Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC’s mission
Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science, Information System, Business Information Systems preferred. Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant product experience (e.g. Cloud Data Platform, Data Products)
Prior experience working in data product or data platform/architecture role
Experience working with other product managers in a collaborative environment
Experience with Google Cloud Platform services (DataProc, Composer, DataForm, Dataflow), and analytics databases (Big Query, Teradata, Snowflake) preferred.
Experience implementing cloud-based data servers (any cloud provider)

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel up to 5% of the time may be required.
This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (“ITAR”) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”).
Compensation starting at $73430 - $115390 depending on experience.
The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
