Key responsibilities include vendor performance analysis to identify improvement areas, leveraging data for informed decision-making, collaborating cross-functionally to align processes with market dynamics, solving complex problems with attention to detail, and thriving in a team environment. Assists in formulating and implementing category strategies for indirect spend segments, encompassing office supplies, IT services, facilities management, and more.

Employs spend analysis, market insights, and business needs assessment to optimize procurement decisions.

Cultivates enduring partnerships with suppliers and key stakeholders.

Monitors supplier performance, proactively address issues, and engage in collaborative efforts to drive ongoing enhancement initiatives.

Conducts comprehensive cost analyses, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and negotiating favorable terms with vendors.

Ensures the economical procurement of indirect materials and services while maintaining quality standards.

Develops, reviews, and oversees contracts pertaining to indirect purchases.

Ensures adherence to company policies and legal mandates.

Monitors contract performance and facilitates resolution of disputes when necessary.

Analyzes procurement data to uncover trends, pinpoint cost-saving opportunities, and evaluate vendor performance.

Offers actionable insights to support informed decision-making and streamline operational processes.

Continuously evaluates and refines procurement processes concerning indirect goods and services. Implement workflow optimizations, reduce cycle times, and enhance overall efficiency to drive operational excellence.

Assesses and mitigates risks associated with indirect procurement activities.

Monitors potential disruptions within the supply chain, regulatory alterations, and external factors influencing purchasing decisions.

Fosters collaborative partnerships with cross-functional teams including finance, legal, and IT to ensure alignment of procurement strategies with organizational objectives. Participates in collective projects and initiatives impacting indirect spend.

Generates routine reports detailing procurement performance, cost savings achievements, supplier evaluations, and compliance adherence.

Utilizes key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress and facilitate continuous improvement efforts.

Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.

Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

What You Need:

Associate’s Degree in Supply Chain, Product Management or business-related field required.

Demonstrated knowledge of Supply Chain Management fundamentals required.

Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience turning data into actionable insights.

Ability to think and perform in a strategic and tactical space, concurrently.

An understanding of business strategy and metrics.

Ability to multi-task and work well within a dynamic environment.

Bonus Points If You Have:

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Product Management or business related field preferred.

Minimum of three years of experience in a field of supply chain management preferred.

Other Requirements:

A valid driver’s license may be required.

The ability to travel up to 10% of the time may be required.

This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (“ITAR”) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”)
