We aim to execute our Built to Make You Better brand promise for all our stakeholders, including our associates.Requisition ID :16849Employment Type :Full TimeJob Category :FacilitiesWork Location :Davidson, NC (CSC)BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY: The Facilities and Housekeeping Associate ensures a consistent high standard of cleanliness and appearance of the MSC facility by participating in the housekeeping process and by ensuring that all internal and vendor contracted housekeeping resources perform their assigned duties. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs day (Day Porter) and/or night shift housekeeping services as required
Performs routine inspections to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and appearance is being maintained on day and night shifts
Clearly communicates areas of deficiency or housekeeping opportunities to Facilities Manager and interfaces with Vendor Site Supervisor for follow-up
Ensures that work of all internal and vendor contracted housekeeping resources is completed with consistent performance and results
Establishes housekeeping standards and provides cross-training to all housekeeping resources as needed to make sure those standards are consistently met and to ensure seamless coverage on day or night shift when someone calls out
Overlaps between day and night shift as needed for communication and/or training opportunities with team (estimated monthly)
Ensures that Housekeeping Vendor complies with various contracted cleaning schedules
Responds to incidents and emergencies that require housekeeping services as required
Provides event housekeeping coverage and coordination of events as needed, helps determine the need for additional resources and directs those resources as appropriate
Performs quality assessment checks, compiles data and manages execution of same.
Learns & fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.
Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
What You Need:
Must be fluent in English and Spanish
Minimum of five years commercial housekeeping experience required
Demonstrates pride in providing first class housekeeping service results
Must have a keen attention to detail by identifying areas of opportunity ahead of Associates
Must understand the importance of addressing housekeeping issues promptly
Knowledge of Microsoft Office – email, calendar usage, etc. required.
Basic computer literacy required.
Ability to complete company online training required.
Bonus Points If You Have:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Other Requirements:
A valid driver’s license is required.
Must be able to stand, squat, kneel, stretch, etc. for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a fairly regular basis.
Compensation starting at $15 – $23 / hour dependent on candidate location and experience.
The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
