We have an immediate opening for a talented, hardworking individual to join our Lake Norman Operations Team as a Regional Line Supervisor!What would you do?

Be accountable for Region Line Operations, Maintenance and Construction activities related to Service Work and Underground Contract Construction.

Maintain records and coordinating all underground activities.

Lead and Supervise the Serviceperson crew.

Ensure the Underground Contract and Service work is completed on time to meet reliability and member satisfaction goals.

Enforce Cooperative safety rules, policies, and procedures and take corrective action when necessary.

Assist the Region Line Manager in planning and implementation of departmental objectives.

Coordinate daily Service Work activities within the Region and daily Staking activities within the Region in regard to Underground Contract Construction.

Plans and holds meetings.

Relay Technical Training and process updates to contractors and personnel.

Coordinate with the Serviceperson Crews to collect engineering data as assigned including quarterly inspections of line regulators and yearly inspections of capacitors.

Be responsible for safe and quality construction practices, including site visits of underground construction contract jobs and service work.

Ensure that procedures and practices are in place to provide materials when required.

Review jobs for accuracy to ensure job as-built revisions are completed in a timely manner.

Produce and approve final invoices.

Oversee employees’ performance, promotions, and disciplinary actions of direct reports.

Conduct Safety Audits and Crew Visits.

Ensure that all Underground Contract and Service construction, maintenance and operations activities are completed within the specifications of system standards, RUS requirements, engineering standards, and the National Electric Safety Code.

Interact with members to resolve damage complaints, power quality issues, work coordination and other general inquiries from Member Support.

Support Region Line Manager and Construction Engineering Department in activities for major contracts to ensure completion of System Improvement work and coordinate large contract labor for UG construction.

Assist the Region Line Manager in Underground Inspection maintenance list.

Maintain records and data necessary to analyze performance and reports.

Participate in weekly Regional Safety meetings.

Skills & RequirementsWhat do you need to have?

High school graduate or equivalent.

Six years of Distribution and/or Transmission Construction experience.

Familiarity with the National Electric Code, National Electric Safety Code, RUS distribution design, construction, and maintenance practices, both overhead/underground distribution and transmission.

Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint, tablets and technology.

Must be able to retain information of a confidential nature.

Ability to implement work plans, make sound decisions from observations and carry out instructions.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; as well as work in harmony with different personality types.

Ability to work with minimal supervision and be proactive in responsibilities.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Must possess and maintain a valid North Carolina driver’s license and have a safe driving record.

What would be nice to have?

An associate degree from an accredited institution in a field closely related to either electricity, civil or electrical engineering technology.

Experience in line crew supervision.

Due to the nature of our business, you must be available for work during adverse weather conditions.

This position is categorized as Hybrid, which is a work arrangement that allows an employee to perform work and duties associated with this position at both an EnergyUnited Office location and their home.

This position is a Direct Operational Position. All employees assigned to an operational position must reside or be willing to relocate in a location that is no more than a twenty (20) mile radius from either our Cornelius location.

This position is exempt as defined by the Fair Labor Standards Act as amended.
