Perform lab draws, EKGs. Take vital signs, place patients on monitors. Transport patients throughout the hospital.Determines nature and extent of illness or injury and patient's history from available sources.Administers emergency medical care within scope of practice, including patient stabilization, monitoring, and resuscitation, from the scene to receiving medical facility.Contacts medical personnel, reports/records observations, and follows directives.Maintains equipment, restocks supplies and cleans ambulance as necessary.Interviews patients and/or caregivers to collect information regarding current home medicationsUtilizes appropriate equipment/accessories to collect information from outside sources (physician offices, retail pharmacies, family members) regarding home medications.Contacts and communicates with other care providers (pharmacists, nurses, physicians, etc.) to facilitate the processing of home medication information.Minimum Education
High School diploma or equivalent.
Successful completion of a CAAHEP accredited paramedic education program.Minimum Work Experience
Minimum of two (2) years of field experience preferred.Required Skills
