Your Role:
As an Outside Sales Representative, you’ll be at the forefront of business development, driving revenue, managing key accounts, and expanding our customer base. You will be responsible for establishing strong relationships with architectural, engineering, and design firms to ensure product specifications align with project needs.
What You’ll Do:
Drive Sales Growth – Identify, develop, and close sales and rental opportunities in the Carolinas and Tennessee.
Build Strong Client Relationships – Maintain and expand connections with existing and potential customers.
Engage with Industry Leaders – Work closely with architects, engineers, and design firms on product acceptance and project specifications.
Consultative Selling – Understand client needs and provide solutions using your technical knowledge of traffic safety and construction.
On-Site Visits & Presentations – Meet clients face-to-face, attend regional conferences, and lead product demonstrations.
Distributor & Partner Management – Oversee multiple distribution partnerships to ensure efficient operations.
Project & Market Tracking – Stay ahead of market trends, pricing shifts, and upcoming construction projects.
Collaboration – Work cross-functionally with inside sales, logistics, and service teams to ensure smooth order processing and customer satisfaction.
Leverage Technology – Utilize Salesforce CRM for tracking sales activities and reporting.
Plan & Strategize – Maintain weekly itineraries, submit expense reports, and provide sales forecasts.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
3+ years of proven sales experience in construction-related industries (highway/traffic safety, commercial, or vertical construction preferred). Strong background in equipment rental, safety products, or traffic control solutions is a plus. Experience reading and interpreting civil/site plans and construction schedules is a plus. Self-motivated & results-driven – You thrive in a competitive environment. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce preferred) & Microsoft Office Suite. Valid driver’s license & clean driving record. Ability to travel a minimum of 4 days per week within the territory.
