JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable yarn dyeing specialist to join our Expression Fiber Arts team!

No experience required. You will work in your home.

If you live in the Charlotte, NC area and have or are:

Extremely detail-oriented - you understand the importance of details and do not allow them to slip through the cracks

Efficient - you love doing quality work in the most efficient way possible

High Quality Standards - you expect your performance to be no less than the best

Innovative - you love finding solutions and improvements to systems and processes

Ultra Organized - you live for organization and for finding ways to sort, plan and strategize

Reliable to a fault - you understand the importance of time requirements and consistently deliver

Self-motivated - you're able to work alone or in a group setting and maintain focus

Then you just may be a great fit!

We value people first and run our company based on trust and mutual respect.

We love having fun, creating new ideas for the future, and enjoy collaboration.

You will dye, dry, tag and skein yarn on an as-needed basis. This is a part-time or full-time position. We pay per skein dyed. You will need space in your home for pre-soaking the yarn, a location for hot plates (or a stove) for kettle dyeing, space for sprinkle dyeing (a heated garage is ideal), and a space for drying the yarn on racks.

You must be able to lift at least 30 lbs and possibly more.

You don’t need any dyeing or yarn experience - we will train you in our methods. The main traits we need are reliability, clear communication and a keen eye for details/high quality.

You'll love this position if you thrive on repetition and problem solving. You’ll need to repeat processes precisely time and time again, without altering instructions. If the thought of this LIGHTS YOU UP, this may be the job for you.

Our customers deserve the BEST yarn and we’re here to create and deliver that!
