Landscape Irrigation Technician

Southern Shade Tree Co., a leading landscape installation and design-build company in the Carolinas, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Irrigation Technician. This full-time role involves hands-on work in repairing and maintaining irrigation systems for our commercial and residential landscape customers. We pride ourselves on using the latest technology in irrigation systems and are looking for someone who shares our commitment to quality and efficiency.ResponsibilitiesInspect sites to identify repair needs and minimize damageInstall and maintain automated irrigation systems and componentsProgram electronic controllers for optimal water useRepair irrigation systems and components to ensure proper working orderRespond to emergency situations to resolve immediate safety and security concernsReview blueprints to recommend changes in layout prior to installationSchedule precision watering to ensure optimum watering levels and minimize disruption of servicesTransport tools, equipment, and supplies to job sitesPerform other duties as assignedQualifications1-3 years of experience in irrigationKnowledge of plumbing repair and installation/repair of irrigation systemsExperience with operating heavy machinery (skid steers, trenchers, etc)Understanding of blueprints and diagrams related to irrigation systemsKnowledge of various types of pipe and their proper repair and maintenanceUnderstanding of watering requirements for lawns, trees, plants, and various types of soilCurrent Driver's LicenseDOT Medical Certificate (preferred but not necessary)CompensationCompensation will be based on experience.BenefitsHealth, Dental, Vision and Life InsurancePaid Time-Off Apply now in 2 minutes!
