Cleaning Company seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Supervisor to support sanitation and general cleaning operations at food processing facility in North Carolina. This third-shift role will work closely with the Supervisor and Area Manager to oversee cleaning tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in food processing sanitation, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work independently during overnight shifts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational
o Assist in managing sanitation schedules, supply inventory, and timesheets to ensure seamless third-shift operations.
o Perform routine inspections of food processing equipment and cleaning work areas, document findings, and assist in implementing corrective actions.
o Maintain records of cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and sanitation documentation.
o Ensure sanitation is completed in a timely manner to allow production to resume on schedule.
o Support the Supervisor in identifying operational issues and implementing solutions.
o Conduct pre-operation inspections to confirm cleanliness and sanitation effectiveness before production starts.
Training & Development
o Assist in training employees on sanitation techniques, proper use of cleaning chemicals, and food safety standards.
o Provide ongoing support and refresher training to ensure employees stay updated on sanitation methods and safety protocols.
o Assist in conducting GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety training for employees, including new hire orientation and ongoing compliance training.
o Support the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they receive proper training and guidance.
Workplace, Environment, Client Relationships
o Monitor inventory levels of sanitation chemicals and cleaning supplies, coordinating with suppliers as needed.
o Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities and support continuous operational improvements.
o Respond to urgent cleaning or sanitation needs and provide hands-on support when required.
o Assist in building and maintaining positive relationships with clients and internal teams.
o Communicate effectively with supervisors, staff, and management to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and client expectations.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in food processing sanitation, janitorial services, or industrial cleaning preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between locations if required.
