Job Description:
Answer phones and emails from patients and referrals
Greet clients when they arrive and provide professional customer service skills
Accurately and thoroughly complete electronic chart information
Verify insurance, obtain pre-authorizations and re-authorizations
Understand and explain EOBs and obtain billing estimates
Collect copays and patient balances
Schedule, track and confirm appointments
Review client accounts and manage within EHR system
Submit EAP claims for insurance reimbursements
Review, correct, and process denied or rejected insurance and healthcare claims
Troubleshoot, prioritize and follow up with claims issues, correspondences and settlements
Complete regular reporting, chart audits and reviews of account receivables
Maintain knowledge of insurance and mental health billing practices and procedures
Ensure office is professionally maintained, cleaned and stocked accordingly
Attend team meetings and training sessions as required
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum of one year of front office experience required
Minimum of one year of medical billing/ insurance verification experience required
Knowledge of Medicaid practices preferred
Associates degree preferred but not required
Customer service and professional client-centered demeanor
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel) and/or GoogleDocs
ICD-10: 1 year (Preferred)
Must have reliable transportation
