Overview:Cedar Fair is hiring a Youth Sales Representative at our Kings Dominion Location. The Youth Sales Representative is responsible for developing, managing, and increasing sales in the youth segment. This position is expected to meet or exceed specific attendance and revenue goals as prescribed by the Corporate Sales Incentive Plan by regularly soliciting sales in person, by phone or at tradeshows and conventions. Depending on park structure, position may be responsible for managing the Group Sales Call Center staff and activities.Responsibilities:

Develops, manages, and sells to new and existing accounts within the youth business segment through in person sales and service calls as well as through telephone and web outreach for remotely based clients and prospects.

Trains, develops processes and procedures for successful handling of inbound group sales calls. Position may supervise inbound call center seasonal associates.

Assists in the successful execution of all on-park activities for all Youth Events with in park and Group Sale staff assistance.

Executes the youth marketing campaigns by working with Group Sales Director and internal graphics department to create and deliver materials using brand guidelines. Creates communication calendar and executes for all prospecting and awareness campaigns.

Represents park at trade shows and other networking events.

Recommends new or different programs to meet the needs of each client including new catering options, ticket programs, or other revenue streams to meet the wishes of the client.

Other outside sales efforts: Prospecting, planning & preparing for sales calls, follow up via telephone and email,, preparing proposals, providing tours of event and park facilities, and providing full account support with regard to marketing and on-site coordination of events and activities.

Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Sales Management or a related field, or equivalent of combined education and experience.

Minimum of 2-4 years related experience in theme park, hospitality, entertainment or travel industry.

Demonstrated ability to work in an independent environment with minimum supervision and deliver against set sales goals.

Strong computer skills required, including Microsoft Suite, database and internet. Excellent customer service and multi-tasking abilities.

Strong time and project management skills and experience.Strong math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply & divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Advanced written and oral communication skills, experience in public presentations, superior spelling, punctuation, and grammar. · Attention to detail and strong analytical skills required.

Travel 25% with the ability to work nights and weekends as required by business and account demands.

Proficient in basic business software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfortable with learning new software and CRM applications.

Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test and background check, which may include, but is not limited to credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy
