These teams structure and underwrite credit transactions for all cash flow borrowers in Structured Credit, including Truist’s balance sheet commitments and commitments for capital markets distribution, negotiate appropriate legal documentation, and actively manage portfolio risk.Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Attract, retain and develop talent of a large, high performing team (90 teammates), with a focus on inclusion and diversity. Execute a rigorous talent management process. Ensure efficient allocation of resources across segments to support client and revenue growth for CIB, CCB, Structured Credit and Wealth.
Serves on the Wholesale Credit Delivery executive team Set strategy for Structured Credit Delivery and ensure execution of strategic initiatives to align with growth objectives of Wholesale.
Oversee teams performing credit underwriting and structuring activities including new money underwriting, commitments for capital markets distribution, reviews, renewals, limit increases, waivers and amendments, including the Bank’s largest client exposures.
Facilitate risk decisions for the Bank’s most complex, challenging and lucrative debt products.
Key liaison with assurance functions such as Audit and Credit Review through examinations and other project work.
Engage with regulatory supervisors during examinations and touchpoints, with responsibility for remediating current/future regulatory matters with oversight from the Risk function.
Accountable to Wholesale management for communicating and disseminating portfolio trends, and developing strategies for solid portfolio growth and soundness.
Collaborate with senior leaders in areas such as Credit Risk Management, CIB, CCB, Structured Credit, Wealth, Wholesale Operations, Investor Relations, Asset Resolution Group, etc., to align strategic priorities and accomplish cross-LOB/function projects.

BA/BS degree
License: Series 79; Series 63; Series 24
Minimum of 15 years of experience in underwriting, portfolio administration, commercial loan credit decision-making.
8 years of management experience
Subject Matter Expert level understanding of accounting and finance, financial statement, loan documentation and cash flow analysis
Advanced knowledge of all products that generate credit exposure
Advanced analytical and technical skills combined with a problem-solving attitude
Excellent interpersonal style, good listening skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely
Strong partnering and leadership skills in a complex, matrixed environment working through multiple Executive leaders with varied business strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA degree, with a Finance focus
10 years of management experience
