Ready to make waves?Responsibilities:

Responsible for a team of analysts who develop and support Field Accounting projects and initiatives.

Support team with priorities and focus on development opportunities for career progression and knowledge sharing.

Leading and overseeing the team’s overall processes and tasks to ensure they are meeting or exceeding objectives/goals and accountable for their performance.

Prepare and report on quantitative/qualitative analysis of team’s results.

Facilitates and support processes surrounding accounting close.

Support business applications as necessary for critical processes within the Field Accounting Services department.

Create and produce key reports and analytics for Field Accounting management.

Provide expert knowledge of automation solutions to key business partners.

Identify, recommend, and drive process improvements and efficiencies within Field Accounting Services through management and oversight of projects and facilitate successful change management.

Develop project plans including timelines, scope, requirements, and execution of such plans including training and transitioning to end-users within Field Accounting Services.

Manage and prioritize Projects within the team to meet deadlines.

Document and analyze information and processes to solve critical business issues and proactively communicate project details and documentation of solutions.

Develop strong relationships within Field Accounting Services and Compass organizations. Work directly with others; provide insight and support for ideas.

Coordinate issue resolution with internal and external technical support providers.

Support a variety of accounting and finance teams across the larger Compass organization as required, including data management, sharing best practices, supporting the closing cycle, and facilitating audit requests.

Interact with Compass Technology department professionals to align development needs and use their knowledge base for best practice/approach.

Base understanding of core accounting processes. Understand, implement, and adhere to proper accounting controls and Key Financial Controls.

Support adhoc project-based assignments as requested by Management.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or Information Systems or comparable RPA/automation certifications

7+ years of business experience with 5+ year of supervisory experience.

Accounting/Finance environment preferred

Technical

Advanced Knowledge of MS Access and MS Excel

Knowledge of SQL, Python, Microsoft Power Platform, i.e., Power Automate, or other automation tools.

Intermediate knowledge of SAP.

Knowledge of Essbase/Hyperion a plus.

Soft Skills

Strong customer service skills

Strong problem-solving, process improvement and analytical skills

Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.

Ability to be flexible in a changing environment and the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.

Ability to implement a department vision as set by senior management and lead a team toward accomplishing that vision.

Experience leading process improvement initiatives using document project plan.

Ability to cultivate solid business partnerships with peer management partners across multiple disciplines.

Strategic thinking skills as evidenced by past performance.

Education/Experience
