You join a community that respects who you are away from work as much as what you do while at work.We are seeking a Regional Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) and International Services (IS) Regional Program Manager for Charlotte, NC.WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:Supervise team to administer the delivery of American Red Cross services to meet the needs of United States military members, veterans, and their families in accordance with Red Cross policies and procedures. Manage the daily operations and provide guidance, support and assistance to Red Cross offices in establishing, growing and maintaining programs and services. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD:
Provide guidance, support and assistance to Red Cross field personnel, and ensure programs and services are carried out consistently and in accordance with specified Red Cross policies and procedures within their assigned area. Responsible for management of a team which may include hiring, assigning work, coordinating, training, coaching, and evaluating performance of staff.
Build and cultivate external relationships with community leaders, military leaders, government and civic organizations and other charitable agencies. Outreach includes command meetings, education briefings, presentations or information sessions with community service organizations, local schools, etc.
Manage a volunteer program to meet the workforce model and enable delivery of programs and services. Assist with developing recruitment plans and ensure volunteer staff ratio reflects the diversity of the population being served.
Ensure the efficient and consistent delivery of programs and services to all clients in assigned area, including follow up and referrals.
Provide assistance on projects and work assignments as needed. Monitor and report on the outcomes and results of programs and services to ensure organizational accountability and make recommendations for continuous improvement to ensure metrics are consistently met.
Manage expenditures to ensure programs are operating within budget.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
Management Experience: 1 year of lead or supervisory experience.
Skills & Abilities: Must be able to operate independently, with initiative, and manage an assigned area of responsibility, with general supervision. Strong computer skills are required. Public speaking skills and the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing are required. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with multiple priorities are essential. Familiarity with military culture, regulations and protocol is strongly desired. Ability to work on a team.
Travel: 40% travel required around the state. A current, valid driver's license with good driving record is required.
Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).
