Quality Specialist II - Manual Tester

Job Description:

This position will be testing software and hardware on the ATM platform located in an ATM lab in Charlotte. This Manual tester will help to groom stories with their scrum team, testing for functional and non-functional holes in the requirements. They will plan for and document any necessary test plans and test cases/scripts. They will work with other testers to ensure all planned testing is executed and help to design any additions to the automation test bed. The tester will engage in the scrum ceremonies of daily stand up, sprint grooming and retrospectives as well as assisting in demos and other Program Increment events. When working in the development environment, they will be installing and troubleshooting installations issues and documenting results while getting the right people engaged in the solution. Most importantly, the tester is responsible for writing compelling, priority driven bugs with the aim of getting the most risk out of the product before going to Production.

This is NOT a remote role. It REQUIRES the Tester to be in the Charlotte (NC) or Plano (TX) office/ onsite lab Monday-Friday.

Required Skills/ Experience
  • Hands-on tester with demonstrated experience in testing software in a lab environment, specifically in working with various types of machinery.
  • Ability and experience in creating test plans, planning and documenting test scripts.
  • Ability and experience in executing tests and troubleshoot issues to narrow the resulting problem.
  • Ability and experience in documenting defects and issues while providing due diligence.
  • Demonstrated understanding of agile and the tester's role in the process.
  • Internal drive to accomplish tasks without constant direction.
  • Innate curiosity - always asking questions.

Desired Skills/ Experience
  • Ability to review and contribute to peer's work.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of financial industry terms.
