Primary Job Functions:Develop and maintain in-depth understanding of your allocated business areas; their business objectives, challenges, risks and people related topicsCollaborate with your people leaders on various HR matters to provide timely, consistent, and effective advice, coaching, and support.Support all people processes; this includes performance management, talent acquisition, onboarding, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, employment changes, immigration support, payroll, development planning and training.Enable a positive, proactive approach to our People and their experience with TOMRA.Determine how the P&O function can support the business in being successful with an eye to the medium and long-term future.Problem solve and recommend solutions leveraging your experience, insights and access to knowledge to support your business areasWork closely with your business area managers and other team members to continually analyze, prioritize, and respond to the businesses people and capability needs to assist in the delivery of business outcomesParticipate in business planning processes for relevant divisions or teams where requiredProvide general advice and support directly to local employees on HR topics e.g., managing leaves of absence, interpretation of policy, navigation of benefits and general queries and actions requestsCarry out People & Organization plans, strategies, and initiatives ensuring long term, sustainable solutions focus is taken to all HR matters and under the guidance of leadershipFacilitate audits by providing records and documentation to internal and external auditors.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment, payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.PayrollManage full-cycle in-house United States /Canada/Mexico payroll on a bi-weekly basis for exempt and non-exempt employees.Ensure all payroll-related transactions are processed and accurate; this includes but is not limited to salaries, benefits, holidays, schedules, garnishments, taxes, W-2s and other deductionsGlobal FocusTake responsibility for leading or supporting People & Organization projects to contribute to the development of global programs, templates, tools, and frameworks.As a member of the Recycling P&O Leadership team, you will partner with international People & Organization team members to ensure alignment of P&O strategy while ensuring there is Americas representation.People Management & Communication Support managers in performance, career and succession plans.Develops productive relationships and maintain an atmosphere of trust.  Effectively communicates using TOMRA Values and leadership principles as the foundation.  Fosters an environment of teamwork and collaboration.  Promotes a culture of feedback to ensure understanding.Safety, Quality and Compliance Promote a “Safety First” culture throughout the company, our customers, and our industry. Ensure adherence to safety and quality across all facets of our operation and customer delivery. Ensure the team works within agreed operating models, and ensure all decisions are made within agreed authority limits. Ensure compliance with agreed policies, processes, procedures, controls and address quality and assurance outcomes as required. Observe and comply with our code of conduct.  Identify, implement and embed any Excellence initiatives to improve quality, performance and efficiency of the team to facilitate outstanding customer experience. Organisation  Complete administrative tasks in an accurate and timely manner. Positively and actively support effective communication, encourage and provide constructive feedback. Support the overall organisational vision, values and culture. Embracing related assignments and responsibilities as required to contribute to the overall success of our team.
