The team leads technology transformation by advancing traditional models and AIOps-aligned engineering capabilities. Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact

Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines

Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs

Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors

Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives

Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals

Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

Build Large Language Model (LLM) services that support powerful capabilities for internal Wells Fargo users, with a focus on agentic operational services, model feedback and tuning mechanisms, and safety guardrails

Lead DevOps within agile application development team, collaborating with enterprise DevOps teams to deliver modern capabilities including infrastructure as code (IaC)

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

4+ years of Python and/or Java Full Stack Engineering

3+ years of Cloud experience

Desired Qualifications:

3+ years of User Interface (UI) experience such as, Angular or React

3+ years of experience in backend application software development, with ability to quickly adapt to C# or Java and Python code bases

3+ years of event driven development, microservice architecture, API designs

2+ years of Large Language Model (LLM) experience preferred

Experience with generative AI models, including model prompting, tuning, and safety best practices

Strong understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and agentic workflows

Proficiency in databases and SQL for managing large-scale data operations

Experience working with DevOps tools and implementing infrastructure as code

Expertise in test-driven development and delivering maintainable, high-quality code

Demonstrated ability to prioritize cybersecurity and risk in software development

Experience in building quick prototypes to check feasibility and value to business

Job Expectations:

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Ability to work additional hours as needed
