Drive strategy for email marketing at the University in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Devise strategic plan for email marketing to meet high level marketing goals and objectives for email communication, along with managing all aspects including template construction, list selection/uploads, automations, testing protocol and execution.

Collect, analyze and interpret data from across the University and work with stakeholders to inform creation of email marketing best practices. Lead initiative to create a formal committee to develop new processes for streamlining email marketing practices and contact data policies.

Act as project manager overseeing and executing the process of content planning and creation of the Niner Nation News e-newsletter (setting and adhering to deadlines, copyediting, layout, deployment).

Assist with digital construction and design of featured web stories through the WordPress CMS .

Write and create compelling content for use on the web and dissemination through multiple communication channels.

Ensure design and email layout is optimized, renders and functions correctly across multiple email clients, and is mobile friendly.

Assist in designing and documenting solutions to leverage automation, dynamic content, data-driven segmentation, and other sophisticated Salesforce Marketing Cloud capabilities to maximize audience engagement and retention.

Assist in the implementation of the Web Information Architecture (IA) and Redesign project from a content management perspective in the WordPress CMS .

Responsible for maintaining high level University sites from a content perspective, regularly updating copy and optimizing against current marketing goals and objectives.

Catalyze strategic storytelling from the digital perspective for use in engaging University audiences including potential students and families, alumni, donors and friends of the University, higher education leaders, and the greater Charlotte community.

Implement and refine Search Engine Optimization ( SEO ) and Search Engine Marketing ( SEM ) strategies to enhance online visibility, drive targeted traffic, and improve search engine rankings for digital content and campaigns.

Minimum Experience / Education: Required Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.University Preferred Qualifications:Graduation from a four year college or university and at least four years of program associate experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.Preferred Education Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree and 5-6 years of experience with a proven track record of successful email marketing campaigns and data analysis.

3+ years direct experience building solutions on the SFMC platform: Cloud Pages, Smart Forms, Web Collect, Collect Tracking, Email Studio, Social Studio, Journey Builder.

4+ years producing emails in an agency or in-house creative group.

Experience in Google Suite.

Working knowledge of HTML and CSS ., experience using Google Analytics (GA4 is a plus) and Google Ads (search/remarketing). Knowledge of Google Search and Google Tag Manager a plus.

General SEO and SEM knowledge.

Experience using SEM Rush preferred.

Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud preferred.

Experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or other email marketing automation platform.

Knowledge and experience in Salesforce/ExactTarget Marketing Cloud and Pardot or other Marketing Automation Platform.

Knowledge and experience with AMPscript, SQL , Server-Side JavaScript, HTML / CSS , Adobe Creative Suite, and PowerPoint.

Knowledgeable in all aspects of email marketing and systems, including template configuration and management, dynamic content, queries for data extensions, and content builder.

Experience with responsive email design and coding.

Knowledgeable in all aspects of email marketing and systems, including template configuration and management, dynamic content, queries for data extensions, and content builder.

Familiarity in Marketing Cloud Connector, data extensions, integration with external systems ( API ).

Online project-management software knowledge; familiarity with Monday.com a plus.

Knowledge of UX principles.

Knowledge of CMS (content management systems) such as WordPress.

Knowledge of platform pixel setup.

Excellent communications and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to details needed.
