Cyber Security Engineer

Description We are in the process of recruiting a remote Cyber Security Engineer. The primary job functions involve designing and implementing security solutions to address business threats and risks, administering and managing security tools, and serving as a technical subject matter expert during security projects and incident response activities. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Designing and deploying optimal security solutions to mitigate business threats and risks, with focus areas including SIEM, network security, systems, infrastructure, cloud, identity and access management, endpoint security, and vulnerability management. Administering security tools as required and managing their operation. Collaborating with internal teams and vendors to resolve outstanding issues promptly. Evaluating emerging security products and technologies. Conducting technical assessments of security incidents, including malware analysis, fraud detection, packet-level analysis, and system-level forensic analysis. Assessing severity levels of security threats and coordinating timely notifications or escalations. Developing and implementing strategies to mitigate vulnerabilities impacting the company. Providing technical guidance for complex security requests as an escalation point. Administering and monitoring security profiles, investigating security violations, and maintaining security controls documentation. Collaborating with teams and vendors to gather project requirements and develop secure solutions aligned with business needs. Conducting security reviews and certifications to ensure solutions meet best practices and delivery standards.Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cyber Security Engineer or in a similar role Proficient in Checkpoint and Cisco ASA Extensive knowledge of Cisco Technologies Hands-on experience with Cloud Technologies Familiarity with Firewall Technologies Proven ability to conduct AB Testing Experience in Auditing Demonstrated knowledge of AWS Technologies Proficient in Configuration Management Expertise in Cyber Security is mandatory Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
