Come be a part of what makes us so special!The OpportunityAs a dedicated Business Continuation Advisor Lead for Fraud, you will own the identification, analysis, development, implementation, management and oversight of business, technology, and third-party recovery plans and crisis management strategies. Identifies process improvements and industry standard methodologies and existing and emerging business disruption risk and ensuring adequate risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans are designed and in place to protect our employees, our resources and critical third party. Drives risk management of operational resiliency including cyber, data, change, third party, critical infrastructure, people, and facilities. Leads training, exercises and tests against emerging threats and provides guidance and oversight to ensure adherence to USAA’s business continuity policy, standard and procedures.We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, or Tampa, FL.Relocation assistance is not available for this position.This position can work remotely in the continental U.S. with occasional business travel.What you'll do:
Provides thought leadership and subject matter expertise to guide the strategic direction of business continuity and resiliency trends, requirements and requests associated with Enterprise-wide development programs, projects, and initiatives.
Manages and drives business continuity and resiliency solutions that improve business value while also ensuring compliance with applicable legal, risk and compliance requirements, and state and federal policies, laws, and regulations.
Leads extensive research efforts; provides analysis and reporting to identify, resolve, and report out on the most highly sophisticated enterprise-wide business continuity and resiliency issues, gaps, and incidents. Identifies information required to support business analysis and resolves issues, gaps and incidents and detect points of partner concern.
Accountable to plan, implement, lead all aspects of, and assess the performance of participants in the most highly complex enterprise-wide business continuity, resiliency and recovery exercises covering life safety, business interruptions, critical suppliers, and disaster recovery scenarios.
Anticipates operational gaps and potential business continuity and resiliency risks and in partnership with the business and other collaborators, drives the problem resolution, execution, and improvement of operational processes to close gaps and mitigate risk.
Provides technical expertise and mentorship to the business regarding business continuation risks and required control measures associated with new or emerging technologies.
Directs and leads all aspects of the business with translating business continuity and resiliency related control deficiencies into actionable plans and provides strategic and tactical recommendations to minimize business continuity and resiliency risks and strengthen the overall control environment.
Serves as a primary resource to cross functional team members in support of business continuation-based initiatives as well as less experienced team members.
Serves as a liaison between the line of business, staff agencies and the Enterprise Business Continuation Program.
Accountable to prepare and deliver senior level executive communications and after-action reports.
Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
8 years of business and/or technology operations, business continuity, disaster recovery, emergency response, incident management, crisis response, or directly related operational risk experience in these functions.
Expert knowledge of business continuity and resiliency industry best practices and tools; IT infrastructure, cyber, data, third parties, processing and application recovery attributes within a large financial institution or complex matrix environment.
Expert knowledge of relevant regulatory compliance, industry regulations, regulatory data sources, and risk management practices.
Advanced analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities requiring a high attention to detail.
Demonstrated experience collaborating, influencing decisions and facilitating cross- organizational programs, projects and joint planning groups to achieve enterprise strategic goals; includes technology, 3rd Party, Cyber, Data Management and Critical Infrastructure and key enterprise stakeholders
Proven ability to lead and influence others in a cross-functional environment.
Active, or the ability to obtain a valid Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) certification within first year of employment.

You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
