WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:
  • Support cross-functional initiatives related to privacy and compliance
  • Help to develop and document new tools, processes, and standards to meet emerging privacy regulations (such as the CPRA)
  • Assist with privacy and compliance projects, from scoping out requirements to working collaboratively across cross-functional teams and managing implementation
  • Synthesize and stay abreast of evolving legal and regulatory requirements (through review of statutory language, industry and web publications, webinars, etc)
  • Track progress and assist with managing milestones and deliverables
  • Assist with responding to data subject rights requests and sensitive member escalations
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:
  • Bachelor's degree and excellent academic credentials
  • 3+ years of relevant background experience
  • Team player with excellent people skills and a bias to action
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to
  • detail
  • Experience driving complex projects to a successful, timely completion
  • Familiarity with Google tools (Calendar, Docs, Sheets, etc), JIRA, and Slack)
  • Familiarity with privacy and data protection regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and GLBA
  • Experience working in financial services
  • Experience working with legal or compliance stakeholders
  • Project management experience
