This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA’s family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.This role will sit onsite, likely in a hybrid capacity, at the location(s) listed in this posting.The anticipated term of this engagement will be 12 months. This term could be extended based on company business needs.The Insurance and Annuity Specialist contributes to Life and Annuity product implementation by drafting relevant contracts and endorsements, supporting product development and specializing contracts and policies as needed. Under limited supervision, this job prepares filing forms for and develops relationships with various State Insurance Departments. This job also remains informed of relevant legislation changes and coaches lower level professionals to develop their skills and knowledge of the business.Key Responsibilities and Duties

Contributes to product design discussions pertaining to Life and Annuity product implementation.

Supports product development and product change initiatives by drafting complex Life and Annuity Insurance contracts and endorsements.

Develops special state versions of annuity contracts and life insurance policies, certificates and endorsements.

Creates filing letters and all appropriate documents in preparation for filing forms with State Insurance Regulatory Departments.

Builds and maintains relationships with State Insurance Department representatives and negotiates approvals with State Insurance Departments as needed.

Participates on cross-functional teams to represent policy form functions in connection with product implementation and strategic decisions regarding new products and new features.

Stays informed of relevant legislation changes and assists in determining best practices for implementing any required changes.

SRC Indicator: Series 6 or 7; Series 63

Licenses and Certifications

Life and Health Insurance License (Resident State) - Multiple Issuers required within 120 Days

Career Level7ICThe Annuity Specialist role will work as part of a small team that serves as the point of contact for TIAA Advisors who are referring participants interested in TIAA Life Non-Qualified Annuities. A successful candidate will need to have annuity sales experience as well as point of sale experience with clients. He/she must be extremely responsive, technically superior, self-motivated with excellent presentation skills. The individual must have a can-do attitude, work well on a team, be adept at collaboration and able to build long-term relationships.Key Responsibilities and Duties

Provide sales support via incoming calls & emails from advisors and participants.

Complete Annuity applications and necessary state required documents.

Must have pipeline management skills essential to moving applications to completion.

Provide periodic status updates to participants and advisors.
