Enterprise Architect works closely with clients, product owner(s), product architects and product team(s) in the definition of roadmaps and architectures for a product or product family, strategic initiatives and client teams, according to business strategies and enterprise architecture framework. Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO) is looking for an Enterprise Architect who is ready to tackle most complex Data and Analytics challenges, related to data engineering, data management, analytics and AI/ML discipline. This role will provide expert level IT architectures and solutions, including the direction, evaluation, selection, configuration, implementation, and integration of new and existing technologies. The Enterprise Architect owns the architectural decisions for the product families and this role is the visionary force behind the technical solutions for business problems. This position will allow you to provide strategic architectural direction with ability to perform hands-on experimentation for modernization initiatives such as data engineering (future state of data lake using data mesh, data product and domain driven data principles), analytics engineering (future state of modernizing analytics tools and techniques) and model engineering (future state of model development, model governance and model ops).
Core Responsibilities- Owns the ongoing product roadmaps and architecture, according to business strategies and enterprise architecture
- Collaborates with the broader architecture community to ensure that their products align with target architectures and technology roadmaps and provides input on required platform capabilities and improving development tools/processes
- Works with other product teams, technology experts, and business stakeholders to provide functional support
- Assists in the evaluation of vendors and products and participates in build vs. buy discussions with the product teams
- Acts as highest-level technical expert, resolving issues, assessing any potential risks and identifying solutions
- Provides technical guidance to product team(s) as appropriate
- Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects
- Assists in the development of and management of architecture governance process(es)
- Tracks industry trends and maintains knowledge of new technologies
- Prepares and presents product-related documentation
- Mentors less experienced crew members and contributes to overall development of the organization
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
- Minimum of eight years related work experience, with at least three years of technology architect experience.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the following architecture and technical practices and concepts:
- Strategy and technology blueprint
- Full product life cycle
- IT vendor product assessment
- Cloud Architecture design patterns
- Wide range of technologies within technical specialty - from state of the art to legacy systems
- Scalable and highly available solutions
- Security and governance
- Technical standards and deliverables
- Migration and integration
- Experience and expert level knowledge in few of AWS Cloud and Data Management technology platforms for metadata, quality, discovery, lineage, access and governance.
- Experience and expert level knowledge in few of AWS Cloud and Data Engineering technology platforms such as AWS EMR, Amazon Glue, etc.
- Experience and expert level knowledge in few of AWS Cloud and Analytics Engineering technology platforms such as AWS EMR, Amazon Athena, Redshift, Amazon QuickSight, Tableau, ThoughtSpot etc.
- Experience and expert level knowledge in few of AWS Cloud and Model Engineering technology platforms such as Amazon SageMaker, Amazon AI Services (Lex, Comprehend, Transcribe, Textract, Polly, etc.), DataRobot, Domino Data Labs, etc.
