A Collections manager's job description

1. Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to team members, motivating them to achieve organizational goals. Set clear objectives, delegate tasks, and ensure each team member understands their role within the broader context of the company's objectives.

2. Team Management: Recruit, train, and develop team members. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any performance issues in a timely manner. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes collaboration and mutual respect.

3. Strategic Planning: Work with senior management to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the organization's mission and objectives. Identify opportunities for growth and improvement, and develop strategies to capitalize on them.

4. Project Management: Oversee projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications. Coordinate resources, monitor progress, and mitigate risks to ensure successful project outcomes.

5. Communication: Facilitate communication within the team and across departments. Keep team members informed of relevant updates, changes, and decisions. Serve as a liaison between senior management and front-line staff, conveying information both upwards and downwards effectively.

6. Budgeting and Financial Management: Manage departmental budgets and expenses, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and effectively. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to optimize financial performance.

7. Problem Solving and Decision Making: Address issues and challenges as they arise, using critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify root causes and develop viable solutions. Make informed decisions based on data, analysis, and consultation with relevant stakeholders.

8. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track progress towards goals and objectives. Generate regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.

9. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Identify potential risks and implement measures to mitigate them, safeguarding the organization's interests and reputation.

10. Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and creativity among team members. Seek feedback from stakeholders and implement changes to enhance processes, products, and services.

Open and Close Operations:

Open: Be in office by 8:30am to prepare for the Day.

Close: Be the last one to leave office by 30 minutes. This will give you time to recap for the day. Office shall close no earlier than 5:00pm Monday to Thursday, and 3:00p on Friday’s
