Drive and own end-to-end delivery of innovative and performant features into our next-generation software applications.

Inspire a team of engineers to apply deep knowledge of computer science and programming principles to innovative solutions.

Inspire and guide engineers to design, implement, and document libraries and frameworks that allow us to effectively scale development on our applications across multiple projects as common services or components leveraged by multiple products, calibrating scope, time, cost, and quality constraints.

Build and track quality into an agile product lifecycle encompassing requirements, design, code, testing, delivery, and support. Socialize a culture of quality across business verticals and departments.

Guide and mentor engineers on clear maintainable full-stack code, working in a professional software engineering environment (source control, shortened release cycles, continuous integration, and deployment).

Monitor company goals and metrics, recommend course correction to teams as needed, and keep feature delivery on track.

Participate cross-functionally in portfolio and product planning sessions as an engineering visionary focusing on the horizon. Own assigned areas/services/components of products as the technical SME.

Support our products, enable teams to identify and fix root causes of production incidents, and own the long-term closure of major incidents.

Own product quality and work to quickly address production defects. Provide short-term solutions and plan for long-term corrections.

Partner with architects, engineers, development managers, product managers, and agile coaches across the engineering practice in an agile environment, with scrum implemented at scale globally. 

Work with QA Engineers and write unit, integration, and BDD functional UI tests to ensure quality.

Write functional smoke and regression test automation using Cypress and WebKit. 

Manage code branches, and practice continuous delivery and release management.

Apply and influence data-driven analysis and pragmatic decision-making aligned with business and technology needs. Follow up on immediate deliveries with long-term solutions.

Partner in build vs. buys vs. partner decisions, vendor selection, technology selection, cloud strategy, M&A analysis, KPI establishment, technology roadmaps, project tracking, and business case rationalization.

Serve as a technical lead for teams as needed or special purpose projects per business priority.

Instill a culture of constant learning and staying relevant with trends in technology across engineers and management.

Influence architects, senior engineering, and product management to measure, track and iterate continuous improvement processes across engineering disciplines, impacting global organizational success.

Present operational statuses to management from an engineering operations level and advise back to engineers on calibration at team level practices.

What You Need

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline; or equivalent additional work experience.

Minimum of 10 years of experience.

Micro-Services Architecture

Cloud Native Development

Design patterns and practices, data structures and algorithms, object-oriented programming, databases, SQL, web programming, SOLID principles, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.)

Prior experience in agile implemented at scale across multiple teams globally.

5+ years of web development, JS frameworks, UI/UX technologies

7+ years of REST services, SOA, micro-services

7+ years of unit testing, mocking frameworks, and automation frameworks.

DevOps mindset – 5+ years experience in a mature CI/CD SDLC environment, implemented exception handling, logging, monitoring, performance measurement, operational metrics knowledge

3+ years' experience working in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

Strong communication, partnership, teamwork, and influencing skills are required.

Ability to communicate with and present to engineers, senior management & relevant stakeholders.

Ability to lead multiple teams in a global delivery, agile, CI/CD, metrics-based setting.
