Give financial reports to executive committee and partners each month

Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed

Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

Assess deliverables of self and team to verify they meet client expectations

Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis

Flexible in completing tasks beyond formal job responsibilities

Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts

Time monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctual

Produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash

Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective

Requirements - Good understanding of budget forecasting

Well-founded grasp of Cash Flow Analysis

Foundational knowledge in inventory analysis

General familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)

Solid understanding of Consolidated Financial Statements

Month end closings experience preferred

Wide ranging experience with Multi-state Payroll

Earlier work involving Sage Accounting Software

Previous experience working with variance analysis

Practical knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)

Quality experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

Proven knowledge of general ledger

Monthly Financial Reporting experience

Inventory forecasting experience highly desired

Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued

Prior work in technology, analytics and management experience desired

Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well

Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment

Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations

Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

Top notch analytical, quantitative and social skills

CPA/MBA preferred

7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
