The Lab Systems Specialist will provide in-depth support regarding problems related to the LIS while providing guidance to less knowledgeable personnel. Creates or assists with the creation of software test plans and actual testing efforts of changes to the LIS.
Responsibilities:- Serve as the liaison between IT and the Clinical Lab, Client Services and Clinical Research groups
- Provide technical consulting for the support, development and implementation of the LIS (Laboratory Information System)
- Work closely with lab personnel to configure/maintain LIS technical database
- Work closely with lab personnel to identify and design IT workflow efficiency solutions
- Provide support to end users requiring data analysis and reports
- Create or assist with the creation of software test plans and actual testing efforts and suggests innovative solutions to improve effectiveness of the LIS and the Information Technology organization
