Join our world-class, innovative team today.Position Specific DescriptionThis position sits within the Power Generation Division which is responsible for all of NextEra Energy's non-nuclear generation operations, exceeding 40,000 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity.Position is based out of Neptune Solar near Pueblo, CO.Position is responsible for operation and maintenance for solar collection assemblies on multiple solar power plants to achieve safe, efficient, and environmentally sound plant operations. Maintains all tools, shops, vehicles, and all work locations in a safe and efficient condition. Provides inspection of watch, electrical, mechanical, and electronic trouble shooting for a solar field and pipeline. Inspection is performed daily for fluid system breaches, mechanical component breakage or misalignment and electrical component failures preventing a collector or groups of collectors from tracking. Job may include other misc duties as assigned.Job OverviewEmployees in this role are responsible for the operation and maintenance of solar generation equipment on multiple solar power plants to achieve safe, efficient, and environmentally sound plant operations. Successful candidates apply a working knowledge of troubleshooting electrical components and equipment to include the use of digital multi-meters, meggers, and amp clamps.Job Duties & Responsibilities

Maintains all tools, shops, vehicles, and work locations in a safe and efficient condition

Provides inspection of watch, electrical, mechanical, and electronic troubleshooting for a solar field and battery energy storage equipment

Performs switching and grounding of medium and high voltage equipment

Ensures daily inspection for cooling system discrepancies, mechanical component breakage, and electrical component failures preventing site equipment from operating as designed are performed

Travel to other sites will be required

Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

High School Grad / GED

Experience: 2+ years

Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's or Equivalent Experience

Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified

The base pay for this position is $59,200.00 to $88,800.00 per year. This range is estimated for this role.
