Who Are We? Clear Choice Construction is a general carpentry company serving WNC (mainly the Weaverville and Asheville area), and has primarily been solely managed and operated by owner/ operator Andrew Herbert since opening for business in the summer of 2023, with the occasional helper on larger scale projects. Andrew has been a NC licensed home inspector since 2022 and has worked as a carpenter for a total of six years.
What We’re Looking For: Call volume has been increasing and we are currently booked out as a one to two man crew through July of 2025. In order to meet the demand of incoming leads and turn jobs around in a timely manner we are in need of a full time carpenter with experience in all things carpentry. We have worked on projects primarily but not limited to new deck builds and deck additions, siding installation, window & door installation, interior trim outs, custom built-ins, lvl flooring, minor framing jobs etc; the right candidate will feel comfortable with completing these tasks with minimal to no supervision.
The right candidate will possess the following traits: respectful, honest, team player, positive attitude, growth mindset, & most importantly…integrity and attention to detail!
At Clear Choice Construction we pride ourselves on integrity in business through and through; this means we WON’T cut corners…EVER. At the end of the day our reputation means more than dodging a loss by cutting a corner or two, even if it is a minor detail.
Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
What Can We Offer You? This will start as a 1099 position with W2 potential after 90 days if preferred. Pay will range from $25.00 - $40.00 / hour based on experience and skill observed in the field. Can you handle small projects on your own? Do you have basic hand tools? Do you have power tools (saws, drills, nailers, etc) you are willing and able to use & transport to the job? How do you interact with clients? If you make a mistake will you own up to it? All these questions, and more, will be considered when determining starting pay and assessing experience and capabilities.
There is a large potential for growth for the right candidate within this company at its current stage and in the near future. Although we are a general carpentry company (not a licensed contractor… yet), the owner will be testing for GC licensure in the next few months and bigger job opportunities and roles within the company will present themselves.
