Private duty, female caregiver needed to assist with ongoing care needs of an elderly female stricken with Parkinson's disease, latter stage. Must be experienced with such care and effective in dealing with the myriad of Parkinson's symptoms. The ideal candidate would be a CNA, nursing intern and/or a person legitimately pursuing nursing as career. Verifiable reference's are required. Full or part-time, flex hours possible.

Caregiver will assist with activities of daily living in order for the patient to continue to live at her place of residence and defer or prevent the patient from transitioning to a nursing or skilled care facility. In addition to care at home needs the Caregiver services will include:

a.) Transporting, when needed, the patient to/from scheduled doctor appointments (vehicle is provided)

b.) Meal preparation, depending upon Caregiver's schedule, up to three (3) meals daily for the patient

c.) Cleaning tasks such as laundry, areas of bedding, bathroom and kitchen

d.) Dispensing prescribed medications being taken by the patient

e.) Exercising routines for the patient, with and without the assistance of a professional physical therapist

f.) Caregiver to aid and manage patient’s personal hygiene such as transferring the patient to and from her bed, chair, toilet, or any other location within the residence as is needed, coordinating occasional visitation and making appointments, all the while carefully monitoring all the patient’s health levels

Compensation: Caregiver shall be paid $25 per hour with direct-deposit payroll occurring each week. Caregiver's status is that of a W-4 employee, not an independent contractor, and is so regardless of full or part-time hours. This entitles the Caregiver to certain State and Federal rights in addition to being bound to certain withholdings. Caregiver must complete a Form W-4 (through Employer’s online payroll service) and provide the required documentation verifying employment eligibility within three (3) days of hire. Employer will withhold the required Social Security & Medicare taxes from the Caregiver’s pay, along with income taxes per the Caregiver’s instructions on Form W-4 and state of North Carolina withholding form. Employer, as is required, will pay into employee's Social Security & Medicare withholdings as well as federal and state unemployment insurance taxes. Employer will provide Caregiver with Form W-2 by January 31st of the New Year after the prior calendar year concludes. Employer will report Caregiver’s earnings to the Social Security Administration so that Employee receives the appropriate credits. Workman's Compensation and Med-Pay are both in place for the employee, full or part-time. Benefits include but are not limited to time and a half for work during major holidays, semi-annual and annual performance bonuses, and paid sick leave (full-time only). Employer contributes to employee's health insurance cost (full-time only). Paid vacation leave after one year of employment.
