Hoping to find an awesome caregiver for my husband, John, three days a week. Hours approximately 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Compensation will be dependent on experience. Also, you need not be experienced, we can train you.
John has ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease), going on 3.5 years now, with a trach/ventilator. We are taking very good care of him at home. The only part of his body he can move is his eyes. Since he is unable to bear weight, we have a lift we use to transport him from bed, to bathroom, to his power wheelchair. You do need some strength to push the lift, but it will never be a total lift. Again, we can teach you everything you need to know for his care; we even have a typed manual to go by! Work environment is great! It is in our home, located near Balsam. Through the day he sits on the porch when he can, watches TV, and listens to podcasts or music.
He is very precious to us and we are hoping to find the perfect fit for our situation. I myself will be home most of the time you are here, working on my computer, but available for any arising situation or for questions.
