Billing Specialist - Asheville - Up to $17.00/hr.
PrideStaff is looking for a Billing Specialist for a local healthcare provider locatedin Asheville, NC. This is an exciting position for a person of initiative who is comfortable with multi-tasking and enjoys interacting with patients/healthcare providers.
Duties and Requirements:
- Posting charges, processing insurance claims
- Filing claims and Completion of claims to payors
- Preparing and submitting billing data and medical claims to insurance companies
- Submit billing data to the appropriate insurance providers
- Sending invoices to collect payment from patients and their insurers
- Calling patients to discuss payment and develop reasonable payment plans and resolve any insurance issues
- Ensuring patient’s medical insurance information is accurate and up to date
- Preparing bills and invoices
- Monitoring and recording late payments
- Examining patient bills for accuracy and requesting any missing information
- Investigating and appealing denied claims
Qualification and Requirements:
- High School Diploma, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year billing experience.
- Strong computer and data entry skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
