Trout Lily Market and Deli in Fairview is hiring! We're an independent natural food grocery store and deli focusing on healthy eco-friendly options. We stock a wide assortment of local artisan products and use only hormone and antibiotic free meats and cheeses in the deli and use organic fruits and veg if on the Dirty Dozen list. We'd like someone like minded and contentious to join our team to help create more grab and go options for both Trout Lily Market and our sister store Round Earth Roasters.
Food prep experience is a plus, but the new hire will ultimately be trained in all aspects of the store including grocery, front counter service and as a barista. Once fully trained and confident, closing solo the last hour or so will be required.
Open availability is preferred with open weekends a requirement. Schedule would ideally be 3-4 shifts/week, 25-35 hours.
No late nights or early mornings!

The ideal candidate will be self motivated, responsible and a competent multitasker. A good attitude and reliable transportation are also necessities. Reliability is paramount. We're looking for a long term staff member, this is not a seasonal position. Food service or grocery experience is preferred but not required. We'll train the right person!

We are certified for through the end of 2023 at the $17.70 rate and are working on our certification for the newly available "Living Wage Pledged Employers" rate of $19/hr with a commitment to raise wages 3% + inflation each subsequent year. We truly value our team and are working hard to get to the new living wage rate of $22.10 and with your help, we hope to get there asap!
