Seeking a reliable and experienced chef/cook to lead the kitchen at our popular European-style wine bar & bistro right in the heart of downtown Brevard.

We have a pretty basic and tasty menu of flatbreads, panini sandwiches, charcuterie boards, hummus plate, hot pimento cheese, desserts and our renowned daily soups, though we have expanded on that recently with a new focus on creative daily specials thanks to our current lead chef, who is leaving us to take a bigger position to advance her career. It is our goal to continue this creative growth led by our next chef.

The ideal candidate will be dependable, have experience in a commercial kitchen and have the demonstrated ability to handle a high volume of food orders on busy evenings, with an overall focus on cleanliness, organization, efficient prepping skills and scheduling, and minimizing waste.

It is a small kitchen, so our chef typically works solo other than help with dishwashing on busy evenings. We currently have a great Monday-Tuesday cook, so the ideal schedule for the position would be Wednesday through Saturday, typically 2 to 9 p.m., but we have a server who enjoys working a day or two in the kitchen so the schedule is flexible if the candidate preferred three days.

We are often called ‘The Cheers of Brevard,’ with a casual, friendly and intimate atmosphere, and that carries over to the staff, so it is a fun and casual place to work.
