Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented housekeeper and camp steward to join our team. This is a live in position with rustic housing provided as a benefit. You'll be living in a rustic vintage trailer on site. Housing is only for one person. 4 days per week- Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday from 9:30am to 5pm. 30 hours per week. More hours available if wanted.
As a Steward, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various areas of our property and occasionally interacting with our guests. This is a crucial role in ensuring a clean and pleasant environment for our guests.
Duties:
- Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming- you'll be cleaning glamping tents, making beds, and preparing them for guest stays.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including replenishing supplies
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly in dumpsters
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, including the shared bath house
- cleaning hot tubs and ensuring outdoor areas are clean
- periodically assist with light maintence tasks with the owners
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in house cleaning, hotel housekeeping, or custodial work is preferred
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Excellent time management skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
