Our church is looking for 1 individual who desires to work with children through a summer internship. Some details are:
Duration: 10 Weeks, beginning May 24, 2024
Salary: $3,000/intern – flat rate for summer
Eligibility: For Children’s Ministry - Entering freshman year of college or older.
Housing: Provided by congregation, if needed
Transportation: Provided by intern.
We are looking for an intern who will:
Participate in leadership roles and behavior in all ministry settings.
Assist in all facets of worship and possibly participate in other ministries depending on gifts and interest of the intern and the needs of the church.
Attend and help to lead applicable Children’s Ministry events with students of the assigned age group.
Look for opportunities to challenge the children and youth in their relationship with Christ.
Be available for prayer and counsel when needed by students, families, or staff.
In Children’s Ministry:
Pray for students and families in your ministry area.
Develop, staff, and execute summer events for kids and/or families (i.e. summer kick-off picnic, May 24th).
Participate in 5-Day Club (Vacation Bible School format, dates TBD)
Attempt to involve teens as “volunteers” in all facets of your ministry.
Help lead weekly Sunday School for your assigned age group.
Participate in Discipleship Program for Summer Interns led by Pastoral Staff and Elders.
