Eaton’s IT team is currently seeking a IT Full Stack Engineering Specialist to join team. This position will be based out of any of our US locations including Arden, NC; Beachwood, OH; Charlotte, NC; Ft Worth, TX; Dallas, TX: Peachtree City, GA: Tualatin, OR: Galesburg, MI; Highland, IL; Irvine, CA; Moon Twp, PA; Raleigh, NC; Southfield, MI; or Syracuse, NYThe expected annual salary range for this role is $105,000 - $154,000 a year.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:This position is responsible for leading the efforts of a team in gathering user requirements, defining system functionality and writing code in various languages like Thingworx, Ignition, PLSQL, Python.The full stack engineer will write code that resides in all areas across a typical application stack. This encompasses the user interface (UI), back-end systems, APIs, databases and data stores, as well as unit tests and test automation scripts. They know how to author high-quality, unit tested code for scalable web applications and distributed systems. Solutions run on-premises and in the cloud. Also, facilitate project technical leadership activities across multiple business organizations spanning sectors that highly complex in nature, perform design of security and architectural models for complex projects in Thingworx, Ignition, Python. Full stack engineers have extensive experience with the software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to tests and deployment. They review the work of others on their team to ensure adherence to coding standards. Full stack engineers will demonstrate and document solutions by using flowcharts, diagrams, code comments, code snippets, and performance instrumentsJob responsibilities
Author high quality, unit tested code in an iterative manner
Drive and evangelize a Secure Product Development Lifecycle approach that establishes a strong cybersecurity focus and culture across the entire engineering lifecycle
Posses extensive knowledge of a wide range of technologies and programming languages. Maintain job knowledge by studying software development techniques and programming languages. Participate in educational opportunities and read professional publications. A leader in this area.
Define, develop, build, and configure solutions that implement user stories
Define, develop and execute agile work plans for iterative and incremental product delivery
Ensure that solutions delivered by the team meet technical requirements, non-functional requirements, and enterprise technology standards.
Continuously integrate and deploy solutions (with support of DevOps and service teams)
Test software to ensure responsiveness and performance. Work with test teams to ensure adequate and appropriate test case coverage; investigate and fix bugs; create automated test scripts.
Maintain, operate, and monitor solutions
Lead the development of prototype designs for a product using a wide range of techniques
Demonstrate and document solutions by using flowcharts, diagrams, code comments, code snippets, and performance instruments. Guide others on the team in documenting their code.
Recommend software tools to management and architecture teams
Involves working in a highly matrixed organization spanning domestic and international locations.
Collaborate with the Enterprise Architect ensuring that Solution Architectures are in alignment with the overall EA and Technology strategy.
Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Minimum 8 experience of engineering or software development experience This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Having knowledge on ASP .NET MVC is value add.
Extensive experience in Database – SQL Server / Oracle.
Expert level understanding of data modeling.
Expert level understanding of Structured Query Language (SQL) / PLSQL.
Advanced understanding of software design principles, algorithms, data structures, and multithreading concepts
Expert level understanding of DevSecOps, CI, and CD principles from code check-in through to deployment
Extensive experience with modern software development principles including code management, test automation, APIs, microservices, containers, and cloud services.
Advanced in Agile, Scrum, or Kanban
