Req Number 128035FlexStaff is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner for our client, a New York City based provider of comprehensive healthcare services for children and families.This is a full-time (Monday-Friday), direct hire, permanent position in Woodside, Queens. The client is also open to a part-time, 4 day/week, 8 hours a day schedule, with the salary pro-rated accordingly.As a Family Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing primary healthcare services to children (75%) and adults (25%). Working in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, diagnose, and treat patients across the lifespan, from newborns to adolescents, with a focus on preventive care, health promotion, and disease management.Responsibilities

Conducting comprehensive health assessments and physical examinations

Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests to inform diagnosis and treatment plans

Collaborating with the care team to develop and implement patient-centered care plans

Prescribing medications and providing appropriate treatments

Providing health education and counseling to patients and families

Participating in team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient progress and coordinate care

Documenting patient encounters and maintaining accurate medical records

Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care

Contributing to quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Requirements

Valid and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New York

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner, preferably in a primary care setting

Strong knowledge of healthcare practices, procedures, and protocols

Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills

Proficiency in interpreting diagnostic tests and formulating treatment plans

Effective communication and counseling skills

Strong organizational and time management abilities

Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team

Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems

Ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility

Dedication to providing exceptional patient-centered care

Commitment to ongoing professional development and keeping up to date with evidence-based practices

Desire to contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment

Nice-to-have, but not required: Spanish fluency
