Description We are seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join a finance team. This individual will manage all accounts payable functions at our company, ensuring vendors are paid for services and products rendered. Successful candidates will have strong organizational skills, acute attention to detail, and a customer service-oriented attitude.Responsibilities:
Process, verify, and reconcile invoices and vendor statements in a timely and accurate manner.
Maintain and update vendor records, ensuring all contact information and payment methods are current.
Prepare batches of invoices for data entry and enter invoices for payment.
Track expenses and process expense reports.
Handle vendor inquiries regarding invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
Maintain accurate and organized files of all relevant financial information.
Assist in period closing activities and audits.
Ensure that all payments are made in accordance with company policy.
Adhere to accounting standards and procedures.
Support other team members and projects as needed.
Requirements
Requirements:
Proven experience as an accounts payable specialist, or similar role.
Working knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, and familiarity with relevant accounting software.
Ability to calculate, post, and manage financial records.
Excellent data entry skills.
Good organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
