A reputable software company needs a strong Accounting Manager who is focused on results and available for immediate permanent. Daily operations are handled by the Accounting Manager and can include handling ledger entries and reconciliations, the general ledger system, financial statements, regulatory reporting, and additional duties. Establishing and scaling the company's accounting and finance operations will ideally be left in the capable hands of the individual in this role. Offered on a long-term contract / contract employment basis, this opening is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a company that values its employees efforts. This position is based in Williamsville, New York.Major responsibilitiesAssist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation and reconciliation processesPrepare various technical accounting analyses, policies and proceduresDrive and manage the full accounting team performance of the close process to meet tight deadlinesRegular review and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accountsCollaborate with FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics, including monthly flash report, key financial metrics and actual spend against budgets/outlook Requirements - Recent relevant financial experience
Proven technical skills
Customer service oriented communication skills that allow for pleasant and beneficial interactions with all customers
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
SAP experience required
Experience with benefits payroll
Oracle experience desired
Deep understanding of general ledger
Bank reconciliations experience
Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
