Description We are actively searching for a Benefits Assistant to join our team based in WHITE PLAINS, New York. The role involves handling Benefits Administration and Leave of Absence administration in our team. This job offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: Administer benefits and leave of absence operations effectively Utilize the Workday system for managing benefits-related tasks Communicate effectively with all stakeholders regarding benefits and leave policies Use Microsoft Excel for maintaining and analyzing benefits data Ensure all benefit functions are executed accurately and promptly Resolve any queries or issues related to benefits and leave of absence Monitor and update benefits and leave of absence records in the system regularly Take proactive steps in improving the benefits administration process Assist in any other benefits-related tasks as required. Requirements Proficiency in Benefit Functions is mandatory for this role. The applicant must be well-versed with the ins and outs of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and employee assistance programs. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must. The candidate should be capable of performing complex functions, creating spreadsheets, and managing data effectively in Excel. Previous experience in a similar role would be highly beneficial. The candidate should ideally have a background in benefits administration or human resources. Excellent communication skills are required. The Benefits Assistant would frequently interact with employees to explain their benefits packages, hence should be able to convey information clearly and effectively. Strong organizational skills are needed. The role involves managing multiple tasks and deadlines, therefore the candidate should be able to stay organized and prioritize effectively. Attention to detail is crucial. The role requires meticulous handling of benefits data, hence accuracy and precision are key. A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred. This would provide the foundational knowledge necessary for the role. Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential. The Benefits Assistant would handle sensitive employee information and must therefore be trustworthy and respectful of privacy. Knowledge of benefits-related legislation is a plus. Familiarity with laws and regulations related to employee benefits would be advantageous. Problem-solving skills are also important. The candidate should be able to identify issues and develop effective solutions promptly.
