Our client, a leading distribution company, is seeking a Food Formulator Associate to join their team. As a Food Formulator Associate, you will be part of the Manufacturing department. The ideal candidate will have commitment to quality, precision and teamwork which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: Food Formulator AssociateLocation: West Seneca, NYPay Range: $17.50Shift: 2:00pm - 11:00pm Must have weekend availabilityIn this role, you'll play a key role in crafting delicious and consistent food products. You'll be responsible for:
Formulating magic: Accurately measure and blend a variety of spices, dry goods, eggs, and raw meat according to our recipes.
Food safety champion: Ensure food safety throughout the production process, adhering to USDA regulations and our HACCP program.
Ingredient guru: Maintain a strong understanding of common food allergens and their implications.
Master of machines: Operate basic food manufacturing equipment like grinders and choppers with confidence.
Quality control: Diligently inspect products to guarantee they meet our high standards.
Cleanliness crew: Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols.
Team player: Collaborate effectively with your fellow food enthusiasts to achieve production goals and create a positive work environment.
What you bring to the table:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment (a plus!)
Keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality
Ability to stand, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Basic computer skills
Understanding of safe food handling practices
