The West Seneca Central School District has an immediate administrative vacancy for an Assistant Principal at West Senior High School. This is a full-time, probationary appointment for the ideal candidate with salary and benefits paid, according to the West Seneca School Administrators' Association (WSSAA) collective bargaining agreement. Salary is commensurate with experience.The timeline for all interested candidates is as follows. The hiring committee will meet and screen applications as early as October 28, 2024. On Friday, November 1, 2024, screening interviews will take place for selected candidates and second round interviews are scheduled for Wednesday, November 6, 2024. Finalists will meet with our Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Operations, the Superintendent of Schools and the Principal of West Senior High School on Friday, November 8, 2024, with a new hire recommendation/appointment presented to the West Seneca Central School District's Board of Education at their November 12, 2024 board meeting. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform as a visible and effective leader in both long-range planning and day-to-day operations. Perform related duties as assigned.Job QualificationsRequired Certification: NYS certification as a School Building Leader (SBL) or School Administrator and Supervisor (SAS) Preferred Certification: Additional NYS certification as a School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA) is a plus but not required.QUALIFICATIONS:
Five (5) or more years of teaching experience at the high school level
Evidence of strong leadership skills
Comprehensive knowledge of senior high school philosophy and programs
Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
Background on the integration of computer technology in the instructional process
Evidence of instructional leadership pertaining to NYS standards, staff development, curriculum, instruction, and assessment
Evidence of experience in effective student management/discipline
