Job Overview: As the Assistant Cannabis Dispensary Manager you will oversee all aspects of daily operations to ensure the efficient and compliant functioning of the dispensary. You will lead a team of budtenders, manage inventory, uphold regulatory compliance, and cultivate an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of cannabis products and regulations, and a commitment to excellence in service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership and Development:
- Train, and supervise a team of budtenders, ensuring they provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages collaboration, growth, and professional development.
- Provide constructive feedback, and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
2. Store Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash drawer management, and inventory control.
- Implement efficient workflows and procedures to streamline operations and maximize productivity. - Monitor inventory levels, track product sales, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure adequate stock availability and timely replenishment.
- Utilize best practices for inventory management, including proper storage, labeling, and rotation of cannabis products.
3. Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure strict adherence to all state and local cannabis regulations, including licensing requirements, record-keeping, and security protocols.
- Stay informed about changes in cannabis laws and regulations and implement necessary updates to maintain compliance.
4. Customer Experience and Engagement:
- Uphold the highest standards of customer service and satisfaction, leading by example and resolving customer concerns and inquiries promptly.
- Provide feedback to the GM to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Applicant must be 21 years of age or over
- cOLLEGEdegree in business administration, hospitality management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a management role, preferably in the cannabis industry or similar environment (RETAIL, HOSPITALTY).
- In-depth knowledge of cannabis products, strains, consumption methods, and industry trends.
- Strong understanding of state and local cannabis regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems, point-of-sale (POS) software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
