No County Saratoga Street Address Division of Historic Preservation City Waterford State NY Zip Code 12188 Minimum Qualifications OVERVIEWThe Historic Resource GIS Intern will support the Division for Historic Preservation at the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) by filling gaps in the Division’s historic resource GIS data in areas at risk of adverse climate impacts.-Interns work 10-20 hours per week during the semester.QUALIFICATIONS Candidates must be current graduate student pursuing a degree in GIS, public history, information science or similar discipline. Duties Description JOB DUTIES Geolocate building records in the New York State Cultural Resource Information System (CRIS). Confirm building locations using scanned inventory forms, past and present aerial photography, project review files, or other documentation. Record anomalies such as duplicate building records, demolished buildings, or inadequate location information.
