POSITION TITLE: Process Specialist - Deburring - Days HOURLY PAY RANGE: $20.00 - $21.00 SHIFT HOURS: 7:00AM - 3:30PM LOCATION: Onsite at LSI Solutions in Victor, NY PROCESS SPECIALIST JOB SUMMARY: The Process Specialist is responsible for using a variety of tools, fixtures, work instructions and test equipment to perform secondary operations on precision components. PROCESS SPECIALIST ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: LEVEL I

Perform precision deburring and polishing operations under a microscope.

Maintain consistent quality and workmanship of the components you process.

Process paperwork accurately and neatly.

Complete assignments in a timely fashion, staying on task, minimize interruptions of work.

Understand and comply with Quality System Requirements.

Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow standard safety procedures and requirements.

Ability to work prolonged hours underneath a microscope.

Report to work on time, including returning from breaks and lunch periods.

Properly task in and out of work orders.

Adhere to all Company policies and procedures per the LSI Solutions Employee Manual.

Capable of searching and locating documents and work instructions in Grand Avenue Software (GAS).

LEVEL II

Perform efficiently and effectively without continuous supervision.

Capable of understanding and interacting with the production schedule board.

Capable of understanding and interacting with the PIO (Problem, Issues, & Opportunities) board.

Participate in developing standard work instructions.

LEVEL III

Assist in training; and coaching.

Capable of performing all process steps for welding.

Capable of covering all responsibilities for team leader as required.

Capable of assisting with PM’s on equipment under the general guidance of a process technician.

Direct team within product families.

Initiate/manage material request to ensure accurate inventory.

PROCESS SPECIALIST ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

LEVEL I, II

Support all Lean initiatives.

Assist team members.

Be helpful and encouraging.

To ensure efficient operation of our business, may be required to work overtime as needed in addition to your regular work schedule. Overtime may include work before and after normal scheduled hours and Saturdays as required.

Any other duties as assigned.

LEVEL III

Lead KPI, 5S, and team meetings.

Manage multiple projects.

Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams.

Collaborate with Discovery and Engineering to develop WI’s for new components and process improvement activities.

PROCESS SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

LEVEL I, II

Good hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, both written and verbal.

Able to communicate with team members in a manner that results in a positive outcome for both sides.

Able to work independently as well as alongside team members.

Maintain good and cooperative relationships with colleagues involved in other aspects of the process or operations to promote strong teamwork.

Attention to detail and task being performed to identify potential changes and/or problems with the process and products.

Able to follow verbal and written instructions and consistently demonstrate compliance.

Asks questions when unclear of direction or instructions.

Able to inspect utilizing microscopes.

Desire and demonstrate ability to produce 100% quality product all the time.

LEVEL III

Ability to create SWI’s and perform TWI Training

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

PROCESS SPECIALIST EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

LEVEL I, II, III

1 year of experience in a related field of trade.

High School Diploma or GED.

Proficient using a computer for simple to moderate tasks.
