Req Number 122545Job DescriptionPerforms a variety of duties involved in carrying out recreational programs in assigned areas.Job Responsibility

Assists in the coordination of individualized/group recreation therapy programs.

Provides program support and assistance for the department.

Documents residents' program attendance in Daily Attendance Records and provides information for other departmental record keeping.

Ensures the proper storage of recreational supplies as appropriate.

Transports residents to and from recreational areas.

Assists in decorating and cleaning for special events. Prepares and distributes invitations and monthly calendars, etc. to interested persons. Runs errands as required. Prepares displays, such as bulletin boards and presentations.

Performs related duties, as required.

ADA Essential FunctionsJob Qualification

High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

Appropriate New York State Driver's License may be required, where applicable.

Prior patient care experience, preferred.

Recreational therapy background preferred
